Have you tried restoring it? Is the sql express version at least the same version or greater than the sql standard version?

    Hi,

Yes, if the version of SQL Server Express is the same or a later version. In rare cases it could be also possible that you are using a feature which is not available in SQL Server Express (you could use https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc280724(v=sql.105).aspxto check for this).

You could also just try and see what happens.

Another limitation for SQL Server Express is the database size (10 Gb).  Might be the issue you ran into.
