How to hide Quick Shapes from Visio 2010 Shapes Window. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello All,

Another question about Visio 2010 customization.
I want to hide Quick Shapes and Other Shapes from Shapes Window.

Hiding them keep our users from using arbitrary stencils.  Our users should
    use our customized stencils only.

    Is it possible?

    Regards,

  • Hello,

I looked through the Visio object model. Unfortunately, there is no property or method exposed to hide the QuickShapes from the Shapes windows. It should be considered and designed as a default UI for the end user's choosing. I do not think there is a way to customize that.
