  • Hello teckOL,

What code do you use for adding accounts in Outlook?

Note, the forum is for developers. I'd suggest posting non-programming questions to the https://answers.microsoft.com web site instead. There you also may find similar forum threads:

    1. Outlook 2016 acct set up errors
    2. Something went wrong - unable to add new accounts Outlook 2016

Finally, have you tried to add a new account through the Mail applet in the Control Panel?

  • I had the same issue it looks like it was due to some error with the device as regiested in Azure AD  Here are the steps I took to resovle it not sure if all steps were need

Did a full remove out Office using the Microsoft office removal tool
Deleted the device from Azrue AD
removed the offcie 365 accounts from  windows Settings> Accounts > access work or school accounts
on the comand line did a dsregcmd /debug /leave to fully get the computer removed from azure AD
removed all office credentials in credential manager
    rebooted
    reinstalled office o365
rejoined azure AD by using psexec -i -s cmd
    then dsregcmd /debug /join
Opened outlook it prompted for password and I this time when eneterd it went through as it should.
