Installation of Windows Server 2008 fails RRS feed

  • Question

  •

When trying to install Windows Server 2008 standard edition the installation stops and the error message "CD/DVD driver device driver is missing..." pops up. The action that was taken was to update the Flash BIOS but that didn't resolve the issue.

Any input on the subject is highly appreciated - thanks.

  • Hi Dennis,

Could you tell me what are the steps you tried in making it to work , and what happened when you tried them? Did you try installing from a different DVD drive make?

IT would be helpful if you could give more details on the environment you are trying to setup the OS.

    Hi,

Sorry for my late feedback. Anyway, I replaced the CD/DVD unit with an older unit and that actually resolved.
