  • Hi there I was hoping someone could help me out. I'm building a database  that allows the user to enter advertisements from the newspaper. My  problem is this:
    If there is an advertisement, that was entered on July 5th, there must be an option to search by CompanyName (ie the company to which the ad belongs) after which all ads belonging to that company will appear. The user should now be able to scroll through and select an advertisement, edit it to change the date, and save the edited as a new record. It is like adding occurrences of existing ads but saving the occurrences as independent records in the database. Help please :)

  • You can build a Search Form with a Textbox for entering the Company Name. Then when click on the Search button, a Subform on the Main Form will be populated with the Search results. It will show the matching advertisements and related Date field.

    Then you can either do a Click on the Advertisement/Date field and then open another Form, copying the information from the selected record.

    Then after changing the Date field, you can then save it by pressing the Save button for example. With that creating a new record in your Table.
