Azure Application Insights JAVA instrumentation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I'm new to App Insight. I'm trying to instrument a enterpise JAVA app with JRE 1.8 and hosted on Tomcat 7. I created the Appname in AppInsite post that copied the instrumentation key.

I downloaded the SDK and added it to the WEB-INF/lib folder and also created the .xml file. Post that i started the tomcat server. But I see no data pertaining to my application. I'm following the doc on the azure portal.

I saw a video where on can download SPAgent and set variable in cataline.bat also map instrumentation key in agent.config file.

Can any one help with the agent download link? Also how to connect the SDK.

    Regards,

    Aditya

  • AI Jars are available for download here.

Here is an instruction on docs.micrsoft.com that you might find useful (if it's not the same you already tried to follow).

A bit more details on the Java Agent installation are on GitHub wiki page of AI Java SDK.
