  • What are the advantages of the various workspaces available within Microsoft Expression Web? Which would you most recommend to a technical writer?

  • Whichever one makes the menus you want to use visible, and puts panels where you want them.  And, of course, you can make menus visible, or not, through View -> Toolbars, and you can drag and pin panels where you want them, too.   And you can save your own WorkSpace (or Workspaces) when you get the arrangement you want.

(Since EW is for creating websites, not doing technical writing, that you are also a technical writer isn't relevant.)

  • Perfect. Thank you, Kathy. I know the primary work of a technical writer is not creating websites, but, as it does often dip into website management and content writing, at least becoming familiar with a number of technologies does prove advantageous. Of course, this means I often need to ask for assistance. Thanks again.
