Problem with office template project

    Question

  • Hello ! I am trying to create a project that uses office template add in and i get the following message:


    The project cannot be created because one or more primary interop assemblies required by this project are not installed

    To create the project , install the microsoft office primary interop assemblies

    I use office 2007

    I downloaded the installation from the following link:https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=18346

    But still not working

    Does anyone knows what should i do to make it work?

    Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.

    Please provide a screenshot and some detailed steps to help us understanding how it fails and try reproduce this problem in our side.

    Firstly, On my side, I can create an Office App on VS 2015 Enterprise.
    If you use VS 2015, you could manually download Office Developer Tools for VS or install it from Control Panel.
    Here is the download link:

    If you are using VS 2010, as far as we know, the Office Developer Tools are installed with VS by default.
    If some assemblies are missing, the cause may be pending on VS itself installation.
    Please insert a good VS installer to repair your VS , or you could repair it via Control Panel.
