    I have an application where users upload DBF files and contents of DBF is then pushed to SQL.

    While reading DBF files, i was trying to use OLEDB and MS FoxPro provider. When i download and install VFPOLEDBSetup.msi and then read it, it is working perfectly. But is there a way to read DBF files without installing FoxPro oledb data providers ?

    Any help is appreciated !

    Hi,

    You can create SSIS package and trigger that with your code.

    Yes.,that is one option. This is an enhancement that i'm trying to do. Adding an SSIS pacakage is a cumbersome way. So trying to accomplish this using simple OLEDB/odbc providers without installing them. Any other options ?
