app onactivated event versus Jquery document.ready

    Question

  • Hi,

In my metro app,I am getting some data about the user after the "app.onactivated" event and want to use that data after the Jquery "document.ready" event.

But the Jquery event is fired before the "onactivated "event.

Can someone suggest a way to overcome this problem. One way is just to use a timeout but there must be some elegant way of doing this.

  • HI

In win8-ui app, WinJS supports ready method here.

You can create a split app, and find this function is fired after "onactivated" event.

  • Why don't you want to use the onactivated event?
