Error Message when attempting to install a service RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to install a Service using the InstallUtil.exe from Framework v2.0.50727 on:

    C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\FRAMEWORK\v2.0.50727

on a Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise Server running on 64-Bit Architecture

I am logged in as Administrator, and even attempt to run the Utility "as-Administrator"

Every time I get this error:

An exception occurred while trying to find the installers in the [path to the service] assembly.
System.Reflection.ReflectionTypeLoadException: Unable to load one or more of the
requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information.
Aborting installation for [path to the service].

An exception occurred during the Install phase.
System.InvalidOperationException: Unable to get installer types in the [path to the service] assembly.
The inner exception System.Reflection.ReflectionTypeLoadException was thrown wit
h the following error message: Unable to load one or more of the requested types
. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information..

All the Google Searches point to Administrator not being logged in or the user account not having enough

    rights.

I've logged in as local administrator as well as Domain administrator.

    Get the same error message.

    Any one has any ideas?
