Encoded cookie names in ASP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a problem with ASP.Net page trying to read a cookie created by ASP. ASP automatically encodes any special character in the name; for eg: abc.xyz as abc%2Exyz. This is not understood to be same as abc.xyz by .Net
Is there a way to stop ASP from automatically encoding the cookie names?

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Deepa

This forum is for testing features provided by Visual Studio. It seems this forum is not suitable for you question. ASP.NET forum is at http://forums.asp.net/.

Based on my knowledge. It's HTTP industry standard to encode special characters. To decode an HTML string, you can use methods in HttpUtility class.
