[Bug Report] CreateFaceFrameSource() returns Error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Kinect Team,

    CreateFaceFrameSource() returns Error when included multi-byte character in path.
    Incidentally, CreateHighDefinitionFaceFrameSource() will Succeed.

    e.g. only English path "C:\Kinect2Sample - Copy\x64\Face.exe" will Succeed.
    e.g. included Japanese(multi-byte character) in path "C:\Kinect2Sample - コピー\x64\Face.exe" will Failed.

    My source code is here.
    Also, try in the sample program (FaceBasics-D2D, FaceBasics-WPF) too, it was same result.
    Incidentally, CreateHighDefinitionFaceFrameSource() will Succeed when included multi-byte character in path.

    Thank you.

  • Thanks for the report will send this to the team. Can you confirm your repro steps, are you copying both the .exe and the dependency .dll's and other files?

    Update: I can reproduce the issue and can confirm the issue. For now, do not use multi-byte characters in the path when using the face api's. If you find any other issue, let me know.
