  • Hi Axmirza,

    Would you please perform the steps below to obtain the entire installation log files for me? These information ccould help to find the cause of the failure.

    Download the standalone installer from the link below, since I'm not sure which version of .NET Framework you need, I provide you both v3.5 SP1 and v4.0:

    Before install .NET Framework, please finish the steps below first:

    • Turn off your anti-virus/antispyware software during installation;
    • Install the latest Windows updates from the Windows Update site: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com;
    • Complete or dismiss Windows Update before installation. (And don't forget to turn it on later)
    • Clean your %temp% folder (Start Menu >> Run >> Type "%temp%);

    Then, please remember to run the setup with Administrator privilege:

    1. Make sure your user account is in Administrators group;
    2. Right-click the installer -> Properties -> Security tab -> add your account with Full control.

    Collect the logs from "%temp%" folder with the Log Collection Tool: http://go.microsoft.com/?LinkId=8967044
    You can find the vslogs.cab file in the %temp% folder. You can either

    • Send the vslogs.cab file to me (E-mail: v-anwu@microsoft.com).
      Note: Please attach the link of this post in the mail.
    • Upload the file to some public storage place, like pvdg42 suggested, the SkyDrive. And paste the URL link back here.

    Waiting to hear from you.

    BTW, what .NET Framework version are you trying to install, and is it through WSUS (Windows Update)?
