Windows xp home edition install problems RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi I have been trying to install my xp home on my pc. I have recently replaced the motherboard and optical drive. When the install is running I have to keep retrying to load lots of different files, when this is done and we move on to the next steg I get the following blue screen message: STOP oxoooooo5o (oxfoooe2c7, oxooooooo1, ox8o54afd2, oxoooooooo) I would be really grateful for some help with this problem.

    Many thanks

  • Hi,

The XP disc might be damaged or may need cleaning, that would cause the errors.

Because the install program can not read the XP Disc.

You should not try to install when you get these errors as the skipped files are needed for the sucessful running of XP.

The DVD player could all so cause Disc read errors.
