Cannot install .NET 4.0 on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 "Not enough space" RRS feed

  • Question

  • I recently purchased QuickBooks 2014 which, when it attempted to install .NET 4.0, said there was a problem. So I decided to download the .NET Framework directly from Microsoft and install it myself to see if I could get more details. This also failed, and I see in the log file that the error is "Not enough space." This does not make sense as I have four hard disks with at least 46.7 GB free on each of them! I browsed through some of the other postings on here and have tried downloading the full, standalone installer for the framework, have run it as Administrator, and have turned off Firewall & Antivirus. Nothing's changed.

I can't run QuickBooks 2014 without this. Can somebody please offer any ideas? I'm sure Intuit won't help with this.

  • Hi gmarena,

    >>Not enough storage is available to complete this operation.

I think your memory may be not enough to install it.

Please do one of the following, then retry the operation.

    (1) reduce the number of running programs.

    (2) remove unwanted files from the disk the paging file is on and restart the system.

    (3) check the paging file disk for an I/O error.

    (4) install additional memory in your system.

    Regards.
