I am trying to override the customeditor that is in the ajax control toolkit but when I create a cs file and put it the app_code folder I get this message when I try to go to a page that uses my custom control:

    The type 'MyControls.CustomEditor' exists in both 'c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\b318cc6f\8d0627ef\App_Code.dgxxp3ks.dll' and 'c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\b318cc6f\8d0627ef\assembly\dl3\807a7b7e\b9094845_5d1bca01\timecards.DLL'

It names the source file as c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\b318cc6f\8d0627ef\App_Web_otrequest.ascx.cdcab7d2.vc36arf9.0.cs

This seems to be the temporary file of the control page using my custom editor.

When I compile it compiles fine, but the temporary file seems to fail when it is compiling, so I don't know what I am doing wrong here. timecards.dll must be the application dll and app_code is obviously the appcode folder, but I don't have the cs file for my custom control in the root, it is only in the app_code, but there still seems to be a conflict.

Can someone please help with this, I can't figure ouit what is wrong!

Could you try to delete all files in the temporary folder and build again? Can it work?
