Replacing five (5) current Microsoft Windows 2008 domain controllers with Windows 2012 R2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are planning on replacing our five (5) current Microsoft Windows 2008 domain controllers with Windows 2012 R2.  My concern is regarding the 75 SQL (2008-2012) server servers that we also have.  Should the SQL servers also be rebooted after the new domain controllers come online?  Our SQL servers are all configured to use mixed mode authentication. We have rebooted DC servers in the past and never had an issue with the SQL severs.  However this is different we are replacing the our old DC with new ones. I would really appreciate some insightful answers in regards to my question.  I especially would like to hear from you if you have done this before.
