OneDrive doesn't show proper icons RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are using SharePoint 2013 with OneDrive for Business.

We also use the inline records management feature that displays a lock-symbol on documents when flagged as record.

In the OneDrive however it still shows the normal icons w/o lock-symbol. Is there a way to make OneDrive display the proper icon?

  • In place records and OneDrive for business is an interesting choice.

The structure and lifecycle of OneDrive sites means that you shouldn't have many records there, only those that require deletion when the employee leaves the company. For most records in the traditional sense that doesn't apply as the retention period and rules are often based on other factors.

It feels like you're trying to build something on OneDrive that isn't suited to it, but that could just be bad assumptions on my part.

  • We want to offer the OneDrive/webDAV view for users as an alternative to work with documents.

This is because we are introducing SharePoint to users that mainly work on shared drives.

Alternatively: is there a way to have OneDrive load documents via a view (this could exclude marked records)?
