my windows 7 audio driver sends a huge spike through my audio gear when the computer wakes up from sleep or shuts down RRS feed

  • Question

  • my windows 7 audio driver sends a huge spike through my audio gear when the computer wakes up from sleep or shuts down. It's been a problem since upgrading from Ultimate to 7, and it trips the overload breaker on my audio amp every time. Surprisingly, it hasn't blown my speakers yet.

I'm using the 6.1.7601.17514 auido driver on Gateway hardware.

    Can it be fixed?

    Thanks,

    Matt

  • Hi,

I think you use the wrong forum, or?
I can't see what could be used as part of the Windows Performance Toolkit Forum (WPT) to troubleshoot this specific issie.
I would recommend to contact your sound card hardware manufactor and ask for current drivers (if available for the used Windows OS).

    Best regards
