FSLogix apps on Laptops with intermittent network connections RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

Do you have any articles/support pages that explain how to configure FSLogix Apps to allow Laptops to work with FXLogix. For example...

If they're in an environment with intermittent network coverage? i.e. they're moving about a building and they move out of WiFi coverage for a few minutes?
What happens if they're logged on at the office connected to their FSLogix profile on a network share, put their laptop to sleep, go home and bring their laptop up

  • Hi Ken,

if you configure FSLogix using CCD this should help with this situation.

    replace VHDLocations with CCDLocations.

change VHDLocations: \\myserver\myshare to CCDLocations: type=smb,connectionString=\\myserver\myshare

that should get you rolling. in this situation you'd want to leave the ClearCacheOnLogoff at the default. what this does is it puts a copy of the profile on the machine so if you lose internet connection it will just store the changes on the cache disk. when the internet connection to the share comes back it will flush the changes or updates out to the network share.
