XP and Vista system RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi.. Group,

our product is WPF based, but we noticed that something works perfect on XP but does not on Vista. Is there any document about how to develop WFP on Vista, or we did something wrong.

Another question is: If we switch to Vista system doing WPF product, will that product run perfectly on XP system?

    Thanks.

  • there is a Vista UEX design guidelines doc for developing apps on Vista. (this is not specific to WPF)

irrespective of which OS you develop on, the product should work. You might see theming differences but the app should work fine.

  • Thank you. LesterLobo.

I guess it is us made something wrong. XAML control should be same on both platforms. Our product actually contains some WinForm controls and WPF controls, we want to choose which platform is better for development. Vista or XP, it seems that some app works on XP but not on Vista.

    Thank you again.
