The name 'InitializeComponent' does not exist in the current context RRS feed

  • Question

  • i am getting this on a UserControl i created in a class library.

Error 3 The name 'InitializeComponent' does not exist in the current context C:\Iteration X\MessageManager\MessageManagerControl.xaml.cs 24 13 MessageManager

    reproduction steps:

    created class library project

    added it to source safe

    got latest version

    added a user control

    added required references (windowsbase,presentationframework,presentationcore)

    hit build.

    troubleshooting steps:

    unlinked it from source safe.

moved project to a different folder

created a new class library project

    added references

added existing code files from old project (the xaml and .cs code behind)

    still happens.

i think there is something happening with the *.g.cs file... i don't think it's getting generated or something.

    thanks
