Books for Scripting in SSIS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Folks

I am thinking I need to extend my SSIS skills by learning some scripting. I am using 2008 R2.  Can someone recommend a good introductory book on scripting.

This same question was asked back in April 2008 and the conclusion from the feedback was  that "Donald Farmer's "The Rational Guide to Extending SSIS 2005 with Script" is a excellent book on this subject."

Would  this books recommendation still hold true,  or has scripting  moved on since SQL 2005?

    Many thanks

  • Scripting in SSIS has changed basically only to the point that the Dot Net framework that it exposes to the user has changed. Donald Farmer's Rational Guide would still apply very aptly, IMHO.
