Services Template Combox RRS feed

  • How do you add new fields to the combox to populate the Services Invoices template? Currently the Fields are:  Service/Description/Hours/Rate/Total Price.   I will like to add 4 additional fields on the invoice.  I appreciate any help.

  • Hi Kerry01,

    it looks like you are using Services Template.

    you want to add fields in below.

    you need to open "Layout View".

     then you will able to see "Design" tab in ribbon.

    then click on "Add existing fields". see below image.

    it will show you fields in right side.

    then you just need to double click on that field to Add.

  • Thank you so much Deepak.  Yes, I am using the Services Template. Thanks I looked at the videos.  Do you see the field "Service" with the combo box?  I was trying to add a new field "Sizes" so that I can click on the combo box and Sizes is displayed with the other info. on the invoice.

  • Hi Kerry01,

    please follow the steps mentioned below to add new field.

    first you can see that the data are come from multiple tables.

    so you need to decide in which table you want to add new field.

    then you need to open that table.

    here , I am trying to add new field to "Invoices" Table.

    go to the last field of the table.

    you will see the option "Click to Add" like below.

    click on that and it will ask you to select datatype for data.

    select suitable datatype and click then new field will be added to that table.

    you need to type name for that field in header.

    then insert data.

    save and close.

    open "Invoice" Form.

    again go to "Layout view".

    go to that Table part. like below.

    then in that right click where you want to add new field.

    select Insert.

    it will add new blank field in that table part.

    then add combobox from controls in Design Tab.

    then again select that combobox in table.

    open its properties.

    select the control source and select the Size field.

    Save and open Form View.

    you can see that newly created field added to that table part with combobox.
