Microsoft Outlook / Hotmail online loss of access RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm looking to post about having issues with Outlook.com / Hotmail troubles.  Has anyone seen a forum for this?  See my issue below for details:

I've had an online presence ever since the mid-1990's.  One of my first e-mail addresses was the web-based Hotmail that Microsoft created back in the day.  Back then, Hotmail was accessed by going directly to www.hotmail.com.  Sometime shortly after the turn of the century, Microsoft migrated the Hotmail accounts to MSN.com.  Since then, I've had no access to my long-standing Hotmail address.  Funny thing is, I haven't lost access to the other two I created the same way and around the same time.

Here's the rub.  The very basic info I provided in this account is not nearly enough for the recovery form online to work.  The recovery form either tells me I provided incorrect information or not enough information.  Here's another issue, I discovered that "my" security question is in Finnish.  Last I checked, I didn't speak any Norwegian languages.

So if Microsoft support techs won't help you recover your account and you suspect that it's been compromised by someone and changed, how else can someone regain access to their account?
