Identify wall behind human RRS feed

  • By skeleton tracking , we are able to identify the depth distance of human from kinect.

    Is there anyway to measure the distance of the wall or any other object,  which is behind the human.

  • You will have to analyze each depth pixel and compare that to it's adjacent points. Anything within a particular range will give you some idea that they belong to the same object. To determine where to start analyzing block areas would require some type of edge or object detection algorithm. Trying to do analysis on a large depth image you should employ some type of segmentation of the image and multithreading so that you can analyze in parallel or offload to a GPU.

    If you just want to block out distances beyond the player level (ie "GreenScreen"), you might want to have a look at the GreenScreen samples as a starting point.
