How to partition azure blob storage RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi.

I stream data from IoT device through azure eventhub to azure stream analytics then to blob storage. However, because of undefinable limit for blob storage, I decided to delete data chronologically. I could've found some information regarding partitioning but I can't find the one how to do that. Is this something that I can do with Python code? If so, should this work be done in stream analytics or eventhub?

A simple example would be really appreciated.

    Thanks.

  • Azure blob storage doesn't support partitioning, can you provide more information about the need for partitioning ?
You could utilize the storage containers to partition/group specific data, but not the same concept as an HDD.
Let me know if this helps.

  • Sorry for confusion. What I mean by that is not physically partition the space, but simply classifying data set being streamed by folder.
