Need solution on SQL Job Scheduling RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have created a sql Job in which i have added two steps. These two steps executing two diffent stored procedures. My requirement is i want to schedule 1st step should execute on 10th of  every month and 2nd step should execute on 15th of every month. Is this possible through single SQL Job?

    Thanks in advance,

  • In that case I would create two jobs, that's all...

  • There is no mapping between Job step and Schedule. Hence as Uri suggested it would be working if you create two jobs and map it appropriately.

  • I agree with the earlier posts.

A very ugly solution would otherwise be to add logic into the stored procedures to check for day of month and exist if not "the right day". But hardwiring scheduling logic into a procedure isn't neat, at all.
