When "Report/Data Sources..." menut selected, getting a "The 'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:schema' element not declared" RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I have an existing VS 2008 web project.  I added a brand new RDLC file.

From that report's design view, when I try to view the Data Sources from the Report/Data Sources... menu item, I get a popup with
"The 'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:schema' element not declared" message - no other description - with the title "Microsoft Visual Studio"

When I copy that RDLC file into a brand new project, it works fine.

Not sure if it looking for something missing in the project file.  Has anyone else come accross this error?  Any idea how to fix this?

    Appreciate your input...

  • I got the exception when I add wcf service into the program.

so I checked the wcf class again,When I removed all the function in the class,it worked just fine.

It's the DataSet in the wcf caused the exception.

Replaced it with DataTable, and I can view the Data Sources from the Report/Data Sources... menu item.
