Active/Active sharepoint cluster/farm? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible either through microsoft or a third party to setup a Sharepoint farm or cluster that is active/active? And I mean truly active/active, not one being read only.

  • What do you mean by Active/Active?  SharePoint farms aren't 'clustered' at all, only the SQL back end can be.  With SQL 2012 you can use AlwaysOn with SharePoint 2010 SP1 or higher.
