Code to connect sync XP and Windows 7 with device RRS feed

  • Question

  • I know ActiveSync is replaced in Windows 7 but as I understand it once connection is acheived any rapi commands will operate the same.

My question, can I download the replacement for ActiveSync to test on my XP dev box?  If so where would I download the app?

    TIA

    Harry

Answers

  • You can download it (just search for WMDC) but  it won't run on XP. You would need Vista or Windows 7 machine to run it.

  • Hi Harry,

You can download the Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 for Windows Vista (32-bit) from here.

    http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=14

It does not support Windows XP.

    Best regards,

    Jesse
