Outlook plugin publication to office store RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Could anybody point me to some reliable resources on how to publish an in Visual Studio 2013 developped Outlook plugin to the Office Store?

Some forum and web-pages claim that VS plugins are not supported in the office store - some other web pages say that it is possible. So my first question: Is it possible to publish a VS developped Outlook plugin in the office store?

In case that is possible, is there any beginner guide on how to do so? I tried "ClickOnce" but that only publishes to FTP, web servers and as a CD. The option to publish to the office store has somehow been forgotten it seems. So following the various posts that claim that a binary executable can be uploaded to the store I tried to create a binary installer for the plugin. Well, it turns out that the office store only takes "XML" files as application upload.

In case VS developped plugins are compatible with the office store, could anybody help with a step-by-step dummy guide on how to get it there?

Hope you can help. Best & stay happy,
    Andreas
