Excel Services REST API - does it support JSON?

Hi there,

I am playing around with Excel Services' REST API on Office 365 and have discovered that the following URL:

https://blinktanktest.sharepoint.com/_vti_bin/ExcelRest.aspx/Shared%20Documents/CopyOfDataEditable.xlsx/model/Charts?$format=atom

returns an OData feed of all the charts in a given workbook. Very cool.

However, the following does NOT return anything (I've highlighted the only difference):

https://blinktanktest.sharepoint.com/_vti_bin/ExcelRest.aspx/Shared%20Documents/CopyOfDataEditable.xlsx/model/Charts?$format=JSON

In other words it seems as though Excel Services' REST API does not provide JSON. Is this correct and if so, why not?
