DLL vs EXE files RRS feed

  • Not sure this is really a C# question... the answer is similar to your dll / assembly question, except "exe" indicates an executable file (usually a PE: Portable Executable). In .NET, this consists of a loader stub which simply starts the .NET framework, and most of the rest of the file is the assembly.
