Bing Maps start pushpin/end pushpin infobox route question RRS feed

  • Question

  • When creating a directions map in the bing map REST services, there is the start pushpin and the end pushpin. I have decided to link an infobox to both pushpins and added a mouseover event which causes the infoboxes to pop up.

    Now I have a simple question regarding this process:

    When hovering over either pushpin, it causes the infobox for both pushpins to pop-up, but I only want the infobox for the single pushpin I am hovering over to show up. I know it has to do with how I have my displayInfobox method set up. I've tried many different things, however, everything I tried caused my application to blow-up.

    Any suggestions?

    Microsoft.Maps.Events.addHandler(startPin, 'mouseover', displayInfobox);

    Microsoft.Maps.Events.addHandler(endPin, 'mouseover', displayInfobox);

    function displayInfobox(e) {

    startInfobox.setOptions({ visible:true });

    endInfobox.setOptions({ visible:true });
