  • My guess is:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Connmgr\Settings\Connections\

  • I'm not 100% sure it will be the same for all CE versions. The usual RemoteRegistryEditor/compare registry before/after change method should give you the clues you need. Do you have to save just that piece of the registry? Since the keys are encrypted, saving just the raw registry entries might not be sufficient.

  • My test is:

save the items under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Connmgr\Settings\Connections\WiFiNetXY\, reboot and restore them. Usually I have two items: 'Data 0' and 'Size'.

If I start with the netword connected before the backup, after the reboot and the restore the network is no more connected. I need to re-insert the password to connect it.

Now, if I take a look into the registry, I see the 'Data 0' item that matches to the previous one, but the first byte that turned from 01 to 00 (after the restore).

    Anyone know why???
