Search results in UTC Time RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

i have a problem with my sharepoint 2013.

I'm querying the sharepoint search using keywordQuery, but the problem is that i'm getting the date columns (example: Modified) in the results in UTC and my server and all my regional settings are configurer to UTC+1 (+2 with daylight time saving).

I'm having the same problem with CSOM.

should i loop all the results and cast the datetime ??! is it a configuration problem?

i've checked and all my servers and my regional configurations are like i said before in UTC +1.

    Thank you

  • SharePoint stores all times and dates in SQL as UTC.  Normally the SharePoint UI translates the UTC values to display using either the Server time settings, the web application time settings, the site collection time settings, or the user's time zone set in regional settings (whichever is last in the chain).  If you are retrieving results using code you'll need to translate the UTC values yourself.  This is normal.
