How to shift years forward RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello. I am looking at renewal rates based off a base year. So, let's say # of customers that renewed from 2014. HOWEVER, I want the year to be 1 year later than the initial customer date. I don't have this set up in my data set. Their is just a status that says renewed or not and when I put onto pivot tables it will say renewal % in 2014 is X%, when in reality those renewals occur in 2015. How can I modify this?

  • Hi AlexMartini,

You’d better create a calculated column to get a year later. When you create pivot table, please add the “New year” field as Row levels.

    New Year=Table[Year]+1

If this doesn’t solve your problem, please share sample data for further analysis.
