Equivalent of Row-level security in SQL DB to Cosmos DB RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

    Thanks for reading this out.

We are trying to migrate an On Premises SQL Server to PaaS. We are referring to : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/architecture/reference-architectures/data/stream-processing-databricks

In SQL server we have a data table called as User that has list of all users and regions each user has access to, for reporting, once cube is processed, based on region, User gets the report.

My question is how can we implement the same if we want to go cube-less and have Cosmos DB as database. Data volume is in 10+ GB.

    Thank You,

    Amit

Could you please confirm, you are looking for solution to migrate an On Premises SQL Server to Cosmos DB. Or you want to process the data you have in your table for reporting purpose.

It would be easier for us to help you better if we understand your concern completely.

  • Hi,

Thanks for your response, first part of reading data from On Premises SQL Server, transforming it and loading to CosmosDB is completed, now, we want to process the data we have in Cosmos DB(SQL API)  for reporting purpose.

    Thanks!
