Exchange Online Powershell with On-prem MFA server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Does the new Exchange Online powershell module mentioned in the following article work with on-prem Azure MFA server  https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/enterprisemobility/2015/10/20/azure-ad-powershell-public-preview-of-support-for-azure-mfa-new-device-management-commands/ ?  If so what is required to make it work?

    Thanks,
    EJ

  • Any module that supports modern authentication should work with MFA on premises.

currently Exchange online PowerShell module does not support modern authentication, so it will not work with MFA at all (cloud or on prem).

Azure AD PowerShell supports modern authentication so it should work with MFA either on prem or cloud
