Native AccessViolation exception RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm developing an application for windows mobile 6 with CF3.5, but I'm running in to a problem.

I am getting lots of (random) native access violation exceptions, but how do I track these down? (With native exception I mean an exception that cannot be caught by the UnhandledException event and cannot be caught by the visual studio debugger.)

I've got several Dr. Watson dumps but these seem very much unusefull.. If I open the kDump with visual studio it just tells me it cannot show the source code, and instead shows me the disassembly, which just shows me endless amouts of the same rules: ANDEQ R0, R0, R0.

When I try to load the symbol files Visual Studio asks me for PDB or Dbg files for mscoree, netcfagl or another framework binary. (varying per crash)

How can I track down the cause of the exception?
