Programatically display hidden recipients field in calendar form RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am programatically adding recipients/attendees to an Outlook Calendar item. The form hides the "TO" (Attendees) field  by default until the user clicks on "Invite Attendees". I want to display the "To" field showing attendees when my add-on adds attendees. How?
    Currently using Outlook 2007 and VB.NET

  • Hi macowl,

    Thanks for posting in the MSDN Forum.

    According to you description, I think you need set MeetingStatus as Outlook.OlMeetingStatus.olMeeting. Please take a look at following snippet to see whether it can help you.

    Imports Microsoft.Office.Tools.Ribbon

    Public Class Ribbon1

        Private Sub Ribbon1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As _
                                 RibbonUIEventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load

        End Sub

        Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As _
    Microsoft.Office.Tools.Ribbon.RibbonControlEventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
            Dim objApplication As Outlook.Application =
                Globals.ThisAddIn.Application
            Dim objAppointmentItem As Outlook.AppointmentItem =
                objApplication.CreateItem(Outlook.OlItemType.olAppointmentItem)
            objAppointmentItem.MeetingStatus = Outlook.OlMeetingStatus.olMeeting
            objAppointmentItem.Display()
        End Sub
    End Class

    Have a good day,

    Tom
