What is the equivalent of Windows forms DataGridView/Dataset binding in Windows Universal Apps

    Question

  • What is the equivalent of Windows Forms DataGridView/Dataset binding in Windows Universal Apps? I am trying to migrate a Windows Forms program to Windows Universal Apps. Nowhere do I see how to bind data to grids in this new paradigm. Assume it doesn't exist but am mystified as to why a new technology would be so constricted.

  • Hi trogan,

Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.

Since this issue is related to the Windows Universal App, so we will move this case to the Windows and Windows phone apps:https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsapps/en-US/home?forum=winappswithcsharp , you will get better support.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi trogan,

We do not have DataGridView in Windows Universal app, but instead we have GridView or ListView: Adding ListView and GridView controls, there also have binding tutorials for you.
