Newbie assistance - using VS for reporting RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, I'm a newbie - on VS 2010 when creating an .rdl report, could you tell me how to freeze panes when the report is exported to Excel? I need the 1st two columns and 1st row as freeze pane.  Thanks, Irene

  • Irene,

I don't think there is any way to do this with the reporting controls. You may want to consider "printing" the report to an Excel file and then access the file and set the freeze panes you desire. There are a number of solutions that will let you manipulate workbooks from the .Net environment.
