Chart x-axis labels are cut

Question
-
We're having the following situation:
- we're using an Access database with a set of reports; the database has been created with a very old version of Access and then it has been upgraded over time to the latest format
- the database contains a report that displays a set of charts; the charts are Microsoft Graph 5.0 objects
- when open in Access 365, the x-axis labels of one chart are displayed vertically and cut, instead of being slanted
- trying to edit the chart object completely destroys the chart layout; we can't control plot area placement and size, legend placement and size and so on; we've tried to do so manually and programmatically, without success
What can we do to:
- fix the situation
- make sure in the future we'll be able to control the charts layout?

That is indeed a very old version. I'm going to assume this will cause more and more problems going forward. Maybe it is time for an upgrade. Check this out: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Access-Blog/Introducing-new-and-modern-chart-types/ba-p/193479

We've already tried to recreate the report. When inserting a chart in a report, it actually creates a "Microsoft Graph Chart" OLE object, which manifests exactly the same issues.Monday, November 26, 2018 7:44 AM

The Office 365 installation must use the monthly-channel to access the new charts (we were using the semi-annual channel and the button in the instructions was simply missing).
The problem is not completely solved, but now we have a starting point.
Thank you for your help.
