check if xaml browser application enabled for certain site RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a way to detect if xaml applications are enabled for the site checking it?

Similar to checking if javascript is enabled, is it possible to see if a xbap (independent of the trust) can run.

I just want to show a more appealing response to the user than the one below in case xaml browser applications are disabled. I can then possibly point to some solutions.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,

You need to enable full trust for your XBAP application in order for it to be able to write to the registry. Therefore, you need to set your XBAP application as full trust.

Here is a blog about how to run XBAP as Full Trust Application,

Besides, you could ask this in wpf forum for more professional help. Thanks for your understanding.

  • Thanks for the info.

So to check that the full trust application will run, I should check that the signing certificate is trusted by the internet explorer? Note I have no certificate issued by a public organization.
