Lag when mouse crosses left side of primary screen

    Question

  • I'm getting lag about one out of every 5 times I cross the left side of my primary monitor with my mouse. I also get this on my laptop. It seems to have something to do with changing screen configurations, as I don't notice it until I change a setting, or get a UAC prompt.

I'm really curious as to how to fix it, as it's making Windows 8 basically unusable. The lag I get lasts for 20-30 seconds when it happens. Also, killing explorer and restarting it seems to alleviate it for a short time.

  • I've had the same problem, I've found a fix though.
The problem is that apps go in suspended state, just make sure you close all apps using ALT+F4 or taskmanager.
