SP Online List - Displaying Lookup with Additional Field from Lookup's Lookup RRS feed

  • Question

  • Probably asking wrong but I have a new list, adding a column with a lookup and want to display data from a lookup within that lookup.

What is the best way to accomplish this?

  • Not that I am aware of sorry! Custom field types don't play well with nested lookups and it sounds like that's what you are looking for?  But if this is for reporting, you could use SPQuery or SPSiteDataQuery classes.

  • You can add additional fields along with the lookup field from the looked-up list but that's about it.  Lookup fields from the source would not show up as a field when you try creating lookup field on another list.
