  • So...I've ended up here trying to find a Kinect plugin for Unity which actually works.

    So far, I am disappointed.  This one throws:

    DllNotFoundException: C:/Users/Major/Documents/FaceHands5/Assets/Plugins/x86/KinectUnityAddin.dll
    Windows.Kinect.KinectSensor.GetDefault () (at Assets/Standard Assets/Windows/Kinect/KinectSensor.cs:404)
    MultiSourceManager.Start () (at Assets/Scripts/MultiSourceManager.cs:27)

    The .dll is right where it says its looking.

    The readme.txt makes no indication as to what version of the Kinect SDK is needed.  As I am on Windows 7, I cannot use the 2.0 SDK because someone had the bright idea to make that Windows 8 only.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • The Unity plug-in providing by Microsoft only supports Kinect for Windows v2. If you are looking for a v1 plug-in for Unity, you might want to look in the asset store
